Hi, i have a problem with my MD. I only hear the ride's bow. Nothing happends with any other sound. I can see midi activity in the pc, when i hit the ride's bow only.
My configuration is the following:
All in one v2.8 from Synthex (excellent quality btw... points for Synthex )
Input pcb (Synthex's design) but made in a proto board (no differece in that )
Only 3 piezos connected: both snares (didn't work) and 1 ride's bow (because is the only one working)
No pedals connected, no jumpers in Input pcb
The resistance attached to pin 26 of pic18f2550 and new firmware
20 Mhz crystal
The response is not instant when i hit a piezo (1/2 sec i assume), and sometimes when i hit it lot of times takes a while and sounds like i hitted but later (3 secs)
Displays shows good function of the piezos in all inputs
Dunno what to do :'(

It might be handy if you describe your complete setup first.
What kind of computer, soundcard, soundcard driver version, and sampler software you are using.
20 Mhz. ? I remember only 16 and 12 Mhz. in my Synthex 2.8 kit.

Even though it'll sound boring but you should check and then re-check continuity between snare piezos all the way to and the board.
Check these piezos on the ride input to make sure they're ok

Sorry, didn't get this.

Keep in mind that when hitting bare piezos they're generating too high output voltage which is not good.

i have an athlon 64 x2 5200+, with 2 Gb Ram, and im using a generic sound card.
i tried 2 softwares, and they both worked equally.
Cubase with Ezdrummer
Toontrack solo with Ezdrummer
both with diferent kits, (pop rock and drums from hell)
It should be ok if i used 20Mhz crystal according to what it says here: http://www.megadrum.info/content/downloads

first of all, thanks for writing me back.
im on that right now, i will edit this line as soon as i finish
i want to clarify that the MD's display shows the activity of the input correctly, in every single input pin. the PC is the one that doesn't detect activity (only does it with ride)

let me try to explain with a drawing:
piezo --> delay (secs) --> pc (MIDI activity and sound - PC's MIDI activity indicator, and sound goes instantly together)
hit --> 0.5 sec --> sound
hit1 (0.1 seg) hit2 (0.1 seg) hit3 --> 2 sec --> sound1 (0.1 seg) sound2 (0.1 seg) sound3

i tested connections, it seems those are fine... changed IDE cable i used... everything the same (4 - 5 inputs sound as RIDE BELL)
i mean, same sound, with different VU meter activity (till VU meters, ecerything seems to work perfect, after that... dunno what happends)

Did you try to power up your Megadrum with the right button pressed so it will load default settings?

So VU meters do react to pads/piezos on snare inputs? In that case you have a mismatch in notes number mapping between the software you use and MegaDrum.
Use MIDI-OX to actually see that you get MIDI messages when you hit on snare piezos/pads.

Are you sure you have all the connections setup correctly...the aux imputs all have the same midi number allocated from default. On my MD all my aux inputs played a closed hi-hat until I change the midi number.

VU meters show perfectly activity, pads are not the problem, i tested many times the inputs, changing ide cable i was using, testing directly trough 4850 IC's pins, and worked perfectly.

that's me plugging in diferent ports ( ride, snare and one random... dunno which)
where it says "Key Aftertouch" or "Channel Aftertouch" is when i was plugging/unplugging piezo. I used just one to test that

according to Synthex's manual, im plugging everything right. i re checked several times
