Sorry if this has been covered but i have gone thru the forums for a couple days looking...

First off i am using dmitri's build

first problem is that the led does not light up with or without the atmega plugged in

2nd when i plug the usb in it recognizes it on all my pc's and installs properly but then it acts as though i have unplugged it. a few seconds later its back in the device mgr then gone again. The crystal is 12.000 mhz and have already replaced it once. I have double checked for shorts and all resistors check out good. half the caps are also and will finish checking them out if needed. i checked out the top half of the board by the pic. any help would be great.

Edit: another interesting thing is when i plug the ICSP cable in, the board becomes stable.

update: tested all but inductor on board rechecked welds all good still no led light and usb restarting on its own.

2nd while my lcd does light up but i see no words on it. this is the shortcut to the paper on the lcd screen. http://www.newhavendisplay.com/specs/NH ... -FBW-L.pdf
