possible fault in megadrum

Hi
My megadrum seems have developed a fault with the hi hat pedal, i am using a vh11. Until recently everything worked fine but now the pedal does not always register as being closed. It does sometimes but not all the time. It seems that the last 1/4 of the bar on the megadrum LCD sometimes takes a few seconds to go all the down other times the bar goes down and back up almost instantly even with the pedal closed. I have tried the vh11 on my trigger IO and do not get this issue, i have also tried my fd6 on the megadrum and still get this happening.
I realise it is hard to tell from my brief description but is this due to a hardware fault on the MD?
Cheers

Check for soldering/wiring quality all the way:
1. from the HiHat pedal jack signal pin to pin 33 of Atmega.
2. from the HiHat pedal jack power pin to the 100 Ohm pull up resistor and to +5.
3. From the HiHat pedal jack ground pin to the ground.

You may have a loose connection along one of those paths.

Cheers for the reply.
Found out i had two bad cables. First thing I did was swap the cable with a spare i had lying around which i have since found out was also faulty. Should have used a known working cable to test but didnt think i would have two faulty ones, you live and learn.
