crosstriggering

Postby Crazyanz » Sun Mar 21, 2010 3:20 pm

I just took some time to complete my megadrum and drums. And i noticed that there is alot of cross ftriggering. So when i hit snare some cymbals and toms will also fire. Only acures when you hit harder but since it so sensitive you already hit hard when you just hit it. So how do you fix this? It has nothing todo with viberations already tested that. What else should i check?

I assume that you've built MegaDrum from scratch (i.e. not from a Synthex kit). First thing to check is the analogue board. Are you using the right MUXes? That is, in case you are using 4051 in there you must also be using BAT85 diodes. Check if you've soldered them in correctly.

In this case you need the 4851 MUXes. Also check the board for leftover flux/shorts — these can contribute to undesired circuit behaviour.

Which firmware are you using? You might want to update it to the latest version.

will check board already using latest firmware. Btw it only cross triggers toms and cymbals that are directly next to each other on the MD

So when its 12345678 and you plug one in 1 and 4 nothings happens but when you have em plugged in 1 and 2 they crosstrigger.

Sounds like hot pads and/or too high of gain settings.
