Any chance of recording the data via MIDI rather than the LCD please?

I'm doing more extensive testing with tensioning, diameters and sensor mounts.

This is a new test version:
megadrum_test2.zip

This version does actually send CC data.
Again, set all configurations as you normally do. Very important that you set HighLevel for SnareH to a proper value for your snare mesh pad. MinScan for SnareH should be around 50 (default in this firmware).
When you hit your snare pad, you'll see 4 numbers on the LCD:
1) Top left - raw value.
2) Top right - value adjusted for low hit levels (for hit levels below ~5% of the maximum, otherwise equals to raw value). See 'SanareVar Centr/Rim' below.
3) Bottom left - raw hit levels without 'Curve' adjustment
4) Bottom right - data sent in CC messages. 0 - for centre, 127 - close to rim)

In the menu you will see 3 new parameters:
1) 'SnareVar CC' - MIDI CC message number. Default 16
2) 'SnareVar Centr' - adjusted values higher than set here will produce CC messages with data 0.
3) 'SnareVar Rim' - adjusted values lower than set here will produce CC messages with data 127.

Don't set 'QuickAccess' to yes in this version.

I've also modified Dinamic Threshold algorithm in this version and in my tests rejection of false triggering is much better. I'd like to here feedback on this as well.

I'd appreciate replies on this topic to include a brief description of the drum eg.
Diameter: in inches.
Head: commercial/home brew, 1 or 2 ply.
Tension: tight/medium/slack.

Dmitri Skachkov,

I hereby confer upon you the second Golden Mangle award in recognition of your outstanding selfless contribution to British innovation.

With this award you should receive an envelope containing a map to your present whereabouts along with a set of day-glow references to give to your next employer.

Congratulations on your fine achievements and thank you.

Best wishes,
Ken.

NB. The two other finalists were Dr.Bob Moog for production of the ships computer, and Sophie Wilson for her creative use of magic numbers.

Ken, sometimes I think you're THE inventor of the public key cryptography who forgot that public and private keys in a given pair are related.

Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't understand a word Ken says! :D I think the private key may be lost forever!
