You'll not get positional sensing with these.
I have a different goal with using electronics. Positional sensing doesn't have much significance when you trigger synthetic sounds. Positional sensing would be just another modulation source for these, like velocity or a foot controller.
Plus, who needs positional sensing when you have a properly miked acoustic kit? I'll never sacrifice that for the sake of positional sensing by installing triggers that dampen the sound.

http://peaveydrums.moonfruit.com/#/history/4519786597However, I'm switching to my Yamaha Recording Custom to play live, because there are no air holes on the Peavey toms, so I can't mount my UKKO mics on them, which can be used as triggers, too and this makes them a lot more convenient to set up. The Yamaha sounds great, but the Peavey beats it hands down in any style.
