finished soldering, plugged LCD => nothing on screen

Hi all,

I just finisihed soldering the PCB and the LCD. I haven't any connector yet. But I wanted to check that the stuff is ok until now. So I plugged the usb to my computer, but nothing happens:



I tryed to turn this 10k reistor potentiometer, but still nothing. So few question:
1 - is there a main swith to power it up (I guess no)
2 - Should I see it somewhere in the device manager (I m using vista)
3 - What are the check I can do to find out what the pb is?

Sorry to ask these dumb question but I'm a bit scared right now.

OMG I have a display now !!!
In fact when you say to turn this f*** potentiometer it is not like 5 turn, its 30 turn to do !!!
