Perf board

Silly question time.
How would on use perf board for this project any guides or advice?
I have all my components it's just the pcb is giving me such a headache.

I thinking arranging the components on the pref board as per the 2.5 layout.
Soldering and jumper wires where necessary.
I've seen some pics and it appears that what was done.

In this case I can only recommend that you should follow schematics very carefully and it will just work. I've myself used strip boards for development. Almost the same concept but you have to solder wires rather than just plg them.

Hi

I first built it on perf board following one of Synthex's early all-in-one designs and was lucky enough to get it all working. It's rewarding in the sense that it's a truly DIY approach, but then after a few months it started to have problems - I'm not saying that will necessarily happen to you, but troubleshooting on a perf board can be a real nightmare unless you manage a real neat and tidy construction (I didn't...) and get all the connections right the first time round. On the other hand if you're a noob like me it gives you the chance to really see how everything is connected and is a good learning experience.

Well that changes my mind.
I think i'll just slug it out with the pcb, I refuse to let a peice of plastic whup me! :lol:
