FYI: Heres the screen snap of my latency tests with td4 to midiSport 2x2 interface to Reaper to Kontakt VST player. This shows about 10ms total latency with about 7ms of that being used waiting to get the midi from from td4.

Maybe my midiSport isn't the fastest...

Looking a bit closer to your graph shows that the time measurement in reaper is not very precise, its actual 9 Ms.

Yeah, you are right its closer to 9 ms.

Just update, replaced my maudio midsport with cakewalk UM-2G midi interface and my latency dropped to 7.5ms.

miditest shows the message latency of midisport to be 5ms (!) and the cakewalk to be 1.67ms.

More importantly, the feel of drumming seems better.

Thanks for all the advice--you were right I found a bunch of info on the vdrums forum etc. where others have persued the quest for lowest latency.
